Reconstruction of Women's Marginalization in The Tradition of Khatam Qur'an

The focus of this paper is to explore how the tradition khatam Qur’an for women entry point empowerment. research was conducted using a qualitative approach, collecting data through in-depth interviews with four female participants and observing their family life. results show that Qur'an has opened up opportunities women’s freedom. In first generation, were still cooped up, illiterate shy, in second freedom given excuse leaving house learn reading. third are equal men education obtain public roles.
